This highly interactive, collaborative group-work session bridges the conceptual foundations of Implementation Research (IR) with hands-on practice. Participants engage in a realistic simulation of the key phases of an IR-informed programme design cycle in cancer control. Structured around a shared implementation problem scenario, teams develop context-specific solutions while applying established IR frameworks to translate evidence into sustained, real-world programmes.

This workshop is a dynamic and interactive workshop that brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, NGOs, policymakers, and cancer survivors to shape the future of survivorship care in the region. Through expert insights, multidisciplinary discussions, and collaborative networking, participants will explore emerging priorities, identify opportunities for research and practice, and contribute to building a stronger regional community dedicated to improving the lives of cancer survivors across Asia-Pacific. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to deliver high-quality community-based palliative care by bridging international standards with local healthcare realities. Participants will strengthen their clinical competence and bedside skills, particularly in supporting nursing excellence and collaborative care delivery. The workshop will also provide a platform for sharing experiences and strategies to address local challenges, enabling participants to develop practical solutions that are relevant to their own practice settings. By engaging in case-based learning focused on multidisciplinary decision-making and local realities, participants will acquire actionable knowledge and practical tools to effectively integrate palliative care into community services, ultimately improving the quality, accessibility, and continuity of care for patients and families.

This multistakeholder workshop brings together employers, HR professionals, healthcare practitioners, researchers, and third sector organisations to explore work, wellbeing, and livelihood after cancer. Through facilitated discussions, participants will explore barriers, facilitators, and practical pathways to support employment continuity, workplace participations, supportive practices, financial protection, and entrepreneurship after cancer. These discussions will inform the development of a “Pink Employer” ecosystem that promotes long term workforce participation, wellbeing, and economic survivorship.

This 165-minute working session asks how Asia can measure what prevention truly protects — not only awareness, but the ability to act, access care, regain function, and sustain everyday life. It connects three evidence streams: the Asia Well-being Survey; exercise and HAL-assisted rehabilitation linked to recovery and return to work; and the BEAUTY pathway from trusted education to screening and care. Under the BETTER TOGETHER framework, ACF, NCSM, KPJ Healthcare, PMCare, Yakult, CYBERDYNE, and Astellas are working across sectors to turn evidence into practical action. Moderated dialogue and an interactive BEAUTY WALK will help identify shared indicators, partner roles, and priorities for a sustained Asia-Pacific knowledge platform.
