About APOCP

The Asian Pacific Organization for Cancer Prevention (APOCP) is a regional organization dedicated to cancer prevention and control across the Asia-Pacific. APOCP brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates to advance cancer control through collaborative research, capacity building, and policy advocacy.
The APOCP publishes the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention (APJCP), one of the leading open-access cancer journals serving the region.
The Pua Kumbu Heart

Our conference logo, "The Pua Kumbu Heart," draws inspiration from the Pua Kumbu — a traditional textile woven by the Iban people of Sarawak, Borneo. The intricate geometric patterns symbolize life, growth, and spiritual connection to the natural world.
The heart-and-tree-of-life motif represents the deep roots of cancer prevention work across the Asia-Pacific, growing outward to embrace new partnerships, knowledge, and action. The colors — Pua Kumbu red, charcoal black, and deep earth tones — honor the heritage of our host state, Sarawak.
